Thanks to you,

Artistic Director‘s greeting

For 11 years, I was a member of “KAGUWA”, a Japanese-style show restaurant that opened in Roppongi in 2004.
After KAGUWA closed, I continued to perform in various places as “Neo Japanesque Kaguwa”, taking over its history and intention.
Now, at a new venue to be opened in Asakusa, we will once again perform regularly from Tuesday to Sunday as “Asakusa Kaguwa”.
We will express and transmit the beauty of Japanese culture in our own way. We hope you will enjoy the gorgeous dances of the oiran and the powerful sword fighting of the samurai.

One of the main attractions of this Asakusa Kowa show
is the original story “Reiroudaiguren” (Like a Brilliant Crimson Lotus).
This story was written for Asakusa Kowa by Michiru Egashira, a screenwriter famous for dramas such as “Gokusen” and “One Liter of Tears”.

The story of a prostitute who survives in a harsh environment will move you deeply.

Also, please enjoy original music created for ASAKUSA KAGUWA by violinist Ryoma of the Ryoma Quartet and shakuhachi player Masaki Nakamura of Sakura Men.

The performers and staff will continue to work hard to make ASAKUSA KAGUWA a favorite not only in Japan but also around the world.

Thank you.

Kazumi, Artistic Director of ASAKUSA KAGUWA
